TAG Aviation to operate Boeing 757-200ER aircraft for TCS Expeditions
May 20, 2014: TAG Aviation announced that it will
operate a bespoke Boeing 757-200ER aircraft for TCS Expeditions for a
period of six years beginning January 2015. The aircraft will
principally be used to operate on a defined number of trips and
additional ad-hoc charters may be considered.TAG Aviation is currently refitting the Boeing 757-200ER aircraft with a dual configuration, allowing the choice of either 78 or 52-seat configuration for TCS Expeditions guests. The customised interior will feature leather seats, plush carpeting and contemporary lavatories. The aircraft will travel with a dedicated team of experienced crew, including chefs and concierge, and will also be equipped with a state-of-the art Wi-Fi system, including KU-Band satellite communications, enabling in-flight access to web services.

TAG selects Monarch Engineering for Boeing 757 maintenance
TAG Aviation selects Monarch’s engineering division to a Boeing 757-200ER used a holiday operator.

The aircraft was built in 1996 (msn 26330) and originally delivered to Transvia Airlines. It was then leased from International Lease Finance Corporation, with Cabot Aviation acting as TAG’s acquisition agent. The first revenue service is scheduled for January 2015.
MAEL will provide base and line maintenance, full CAMO and spares support. MAEL will fit-out the aircraft’s business class cabin at its new facility at Birmingham Airport, which will include the installation of new seats, galley, overhead storage and an on board Wi-Fi system.
